Air Marshal Tejinder Singh assumed his new role as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday, according to a statement from the Defence Ministry.
Upon taking charge at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan), Air Marshal Singh honored fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
A distinguished graduate of the National Defence Academy, Air Marshal Singh was commissioned into the IAF’s fighter stream on June 13, 1987. He holds a Category ‘A’ Qualified Flying Instructor designation, with over 4,500 flying hours to his credit. His educational background includes the Defence Service Staff College and the National Defence College.
Throughout his career, Air Marshal Singh has held significant commands, including a fighter squadron, radar station, a premier fighter base, and served as Air Officer Commanding in Jammu and Kashmir.
