In a devastating airstrike on Khan Younis, southern Gaza, at least 40 Palestinians have been reported killed and over 60 injured. The Israeli assault targeted tents sheltering displaced individuals, according to both Palestinian and Israeli sources.
Palestinian medics have reported that the Israeli air raid, which struck the tents at the entrance to Muwasi, resulted in severe destruction and numerous casualties. Dr. Mohammed Al-Mughair, Director of Supply at Civil Defense, confirmed that the bombardment created craters up to nine meters deep, indicating the use of highly explosive missiles. “We are facing one of the most horrific massacres committed in this war,” he said.
In response, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that the strike aimed at a command center used by senior Hamas leaders. Adraee claimed these individuals were involved in orchestrating “terrorist operations” against Israeli forces and civilians. He asserted that the Israeli military had taken extensive precautions to minimize civilian harm.
