India and Jamaica Forge Stronger Development Ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi described India as a “trusted partner” in Jamaica’s development during discussions with Jamaican PM Andrew Holness. Modi highlighted potential collaborations in areas such as digital public infrastructure, biofuel, and health. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of resolving global tensions through dialogue and called for reforms in institutions like the UN Security Council. They also recognized shared challenges like organized crime and terrorism, reinforcing the historical and democratic bonds between the two countries. This marks Holness’s first bilateral visit to India.
