In response to escalating tensions in West Asia, India called for restraint from all parties involved. The statement, released on Wednesday, follows Iran’s launch of approximately 200 missiles into Israel, a reaction to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other commanders. India expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in the region. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized the need for all issues to be resolved through “dialogue and diplomacy.” “We are deeply concerned at the escalation of the security situation in West Asia and reiterate our call for restraint by all concerned and protection of civilians,” the ministry stated. It underscored the importance of preventing the conflict from expanding into a broader regional crisis, urging a diplomatic approach to address ongoing tensions.
