New Delhi/Panjab Post
On Wednesday, the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) issued a statement in support of Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments regarding the issues faced by Sikhs in India. The SFJ, led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, declared that Gandhi’s remarks on the perceived existential threat to Sikhs reflect the group’s own stance on Khalistan, asserting that these statements are both courageous and rooted in the historical struggles of the Sikh community since 1947.
The BJP has strongly criticized the SFJ’s endorsement, calling it a troubling development. Amit Malviya, the BJP’s IT cell chief, labeled the support from the banned Khalistan group as an indication of Congress’s and Gandhi’s opposition to India. “This alliance with a terrorist organization shows their intent to undermine India’s social cohesion,” Malviya claimed.
