In a significant operation early Saturday, security forces engaged and eliminated three militants in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The clash occurred during a cordon-and-search mission launched late Friday night in the Chak Tapper Kreeri area of Pattan.
According to police sources, the operation escalated into an encounter when militants opened fire on the search party. The security forces responded with force, maintaining the cordon throughout the night. The exchange of gunfire continued until morning, resulting in the deaths of the three militants.
Authorities are currently working to confirm the identities and affiliations of the slain individuals. The operation is ongoing as further investigations continue.
