Former President Donald Trump has stated that he will not pursue the presidency again in 2028 if he does not win the upcoming election in November. In a recent interview with Sharyl Attkisson, Trump affirmed, “No, I don’t. No, I don’t. I think that will be it.”
Currently running for a third consecutive term after winning in 2016 and losing in 2020, Trump faces a tight race against Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris. If he loses, he would be 82 by the time of the next election.The presidential elections are scheduled for November 5. During the interview, Trump also discussed his health regimen, mentioning that he plays golf and attempts to eat healthily, despite admitting to enjoying “perhaps all the wrong food.”
Trump defended his record on managing the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming he has not received adequate credit for his efforts. He highlighted the swift production of ventilators and personal protective equipment, noting, “I think I did a great job… Nobody knew what it was. Nobody knew where it came from.” As the election approaches, Trump remains focused on his campaign, confident in his chances of success.
